Chapter 1

Warning: Don't read this if you're not within the legal age to few such soft porn content. I will not be held responsible for any parents who don't monitor their childs internet.

December 24th, 2007.

"Oh sh*t!" I exclaimed, under my breath, scanning the mall from store to store for anything that might catch my eye, but to no avail. It was Christmas eve and I was still without a present for anyone at the family get-together. All I saw were clothes departments and overpriced jewelry shops.

After running around in circles for almost an hour I decided on getting my parents the same old, same old... clothes. To my Uncle and Aunts, chocolate-covered-cherries was the way to go. I mean I'm only 17...this was the first time i've actually bought something for someone with MY own money, sadly. I walked out of the shop and started heading towards the malls exit, but something caught my eye. It was a magic shop, with a giant blue wizard hat above the door frame. Hmm, that was strange; I thought, I'm almost certain i've never seen that here, specially not today. There was something about it, though, that just drew me in...other then the fact that i'd forgotten to get my two cousins a gift.

I walked in and there was a man with a black shirt and purple vest there to greet me.

"Welcome to Steve's Don't Stop 'Till You Drop, Magic Shop", smiling comically at me. That sure lightened the tension.

"Hi, I'm here to get my little cousins something for christmas? Got anything they might like?"

There was a sparkle in his eyes that made his overly gelled short black hair seem less distracting.

"A matter of fact, yes, I believe I do. I think you'll find it just the right thing. Here let me see if I can find it for you, hmm?"

I smiled at him as he turned around and away from the counter, into the back room. I could hear him fumble through a couple things before emerging from the dark backroom with a small box in hand, holding it presentingly.

"Oh I think their going to love this!" He sure could draw my attention.

"This here is one of the most rarest and most prized items I hav. It can not only be used as many times as you like, but you can mold and shape it into anything you please. BUT BE CAREFUL, for it can be dangerous."

My eyes grew wide in anticipation, like a little boy waiting to receive a cookie from his mother.

"Wah-lah" He opened the box... and to my surpsie... there was nothing inside, except-- of course-- for the black leather lining used to create the small box.

"There's nothing inside." I stated.

"Oh I know that. What I wanted to show you cannot come in a box...for it is the words you speak that you will give to Sarah."

How did he know her name?

He continued, "I know your innermost desire, Peter. You were drawn here because there's something here that I have; something that you are destined to know... and use. I know your inner-most desires...your height only hurting that... Need for it." he leaned in, almost whispering to me now.

He knew everything about me... this had to be some trick... no, this was TOO much.

"I-- I-- No! Thank you for showing me around, bye!" I darted out of the black mini-building half expecting him to run out the door and scream "You're on Scare Tactics!" or something. I headed towards the parking lawt.

December 25th, 2007. Christmas Party.

*ding dong*

I tapped my foot as I waited for my aunt Sone to answer the door... she always took forever with everything.

After a brief moment I heard footsteps on the other side of the door and then an unlocking sound.

"Oh Peter!!! How are you? Here let me get your jacket. Oh my god you're so big now! You kids just keep on growing, dont'cha? You must be getting close to your dad!."

"Yea I think so, last I checked I was around 6'6", Auntie" I smiled.

"Oh for heavens sake, you're taking after your him obviously. The old Jones genes, right? Hehe, come on in." She stepped aside with her warm old smile, holding the door open for me.

She lived in a very big house out in the desert where the property wasn't quite so expensive as the rest of California. It was nice... very quiet though. Nothing like I was used to. I had grown up in northern LA and there was always something I could hear off in the distance.

I stepped inside and immediately felt the nice cozyness of her home by the overclocked heater.

I greeted both my mom and dad who had come early to help prepare, and my Uncle who was sitting on the couch staring at the fireplace. Noticing me approach,

"Oh hey there kido! How's everything goin'? Life treating you well?" giving me a slight nudge on the shoulder.

"Yea Uncle Tom, everythings great. Do you know where David and Sarah went off to?" wanting to get away from him. He always creeped me out.

"Last I heard they were screaming upstairs, I'd say their still up there." He smiled at me as I headed towards the staircase.

"Hey Peter!" David ran up and gave me a hug... god did he like letting his hair grow long. Every year it seems he let it grow a little more. He definately grew some inches too since last year.

David looked over at Sarah who was still watching TV from the couch.

"Hey Sarah, How are you?" I asked politely.

She looked over in surprise,

"Peter!!!!!!" coming over and giving me a hug.

Sarah was always a dirty blonde girl who--- since i've ever remembered-- was the same height as her brother, David, but now they were in 7th grade and David was apparently in the middle of his growth spurt. I looked her over, noticing her beautiful small black dress. She filled it up quite nicely, it even showed the slightest bit of cleavage as my eyes followed from her next down to the dress' V-cut. She was growing up.

At first I believed that they were both the same height, but after scanning over her I noticed she was wearing silver high heels. Something i've never seen her wear before to our family christmas partys.

I figured it was probably to level out their new found height difference.

"You look beautiful Sarah."

She responded, "You really think so?" Almost twirling to showoff her newly developing womanly curves.

"He's only joking, Sarah! He was being polite." David barked. He's never been that declarative, especially towards Sarah. It must be his growth spurt talking. Maybe now that he was finally taller than his twin sister it made him feel like he had a more powering voice in their sibling relationship.

Sarah frowned at the comment, "Were you joking, Petey?"

"Of course not Sarah, I really do think you're beautiful. You've grown so much since last year. Both of you have."

"See, I knew it David!" sticking her tongue out at her brother.

David just frowned and crossed his arms around his chest.

To change the subject I asked them a simple question,

"So uhhh, how old are you guys now? 11...12?"

"14!" they both barked out at the same time.

"We're both kind of short though for our age" Sarah explained.

"Well maybe you are, but I'm already 5'4"!"

"YOU ARE NOT! My eyes stare into your nose and I'm only 5'0", if that!"

"Yea well at least I don't try and hide my height by putting on PLATFORM SHOES!" David finished his insult and ran down the stairs to dinner.

Sarah angerily chased after him.

December 24th, 2008

Clothes... Clothes... More Clothes... Chocolate...Magic Sho-- oh god.

There it was, that same small black building I saw just a year ago. I had this overwhelming feeling to go inside again. I can't explain, it was like a magnetic pull drawing me in, but also with an almost unusual feeling of urgency mixed in.

Nonetheless I stepped inside cautiously...

"I knew you'd be back, Peter" coming from the same sleek looking young man at the counter.

I never did tell him my name...

"You know, you should have gotten the set like I suggested. You would have had so much fun last year...too bad. How may I help you?"

What set? All he showed me was an empty box...

"No no no, the box was to emphasis that what you were purchasing were words, something that cannot come in a physical form."

I was starting to get a little creeped out and was ready to dart out that door like I had last year. How did he know what I was thinking?

"Because, Peter, I know everything about you. It is in your destiny to receive this."

To curious to think straight I asked,

"What are you talking about...Steve?" looking at his vests name tag.

He took a deep breath and began,

"Peter, what I'm talking about is phrases... ancient words that were long forgotten. They were used to shape and form the universe as we know it. Their existence was erased from memory of fear that they would be used in the wrong way. I'm only giving you these words because someone you know is in need of this...and that person is your little cousin, Sarah."

I found a chair to sit down on before he continued.

"The words I am about to give you will allow you to change the universe as a whole. Only the owner of the phrases-- however-- will remember the changes that took place, hence making this a very dangerous thing to tinker with. Everyone will go on with their lives as if that's how it has always been. And yes, they will even have memories of the changes, but say the word incorrectly in any of its parts and the results can and will be catastrophic. Now that you understand, are you still interested?" He was now almost glaring at me.

Hesitantly I answered, "Yes."

"Ok, here they are." he grabbed a piece paper on the counter and a pen and wrote down

zoon-muok

zoon-makai

"Now the first one here....

He explained it all to me exactly as he knew it, but to be totally honest it was very hard for me to understand what he meant. He used very large words, a lot of which I haven't even heard before(even though it was english). It didn't seem like he could sense my confusion, still, I kept it to myself. I figured as long as I understood how to pronounce it I could help Sarah with her problem.

I thanked Steve and headed out the door. Without a doubt in my mind I felt his eyes staring into the back of my head as I walked out the mall doors.

December 25th, 2008. Christmas Party

After the usual family welcomes I went upstairs to greet Sarah and David.

They were both playing cards on the table infront of the couch.

"Oh hey Peter, funny that you got here the moment I just finished smashing Sarah at poker...for the 5th time."

Jeez, another one of those smart comments, I thought. My eyes darted over to Sarahs face. She seemed unharmed by it, as if she was used to the mean remarks from her brother.

I reverted my attention towards Sarah,

"You ok Sarah? You seem down."

"No, I'm fine. Just kind of depressed from that losing streak."

"How's that any different from any other day?" David added.

Sarah stood up to argue against him, but quickly remembered she only came up to his shoulder. She sat back down with her head down.

This was so much for me. This-- here-- was exactly what Steve at the magic shop was telling me. Sarah needed my help, and whatever these words did...they were going to help her..

I said the word in my head before speaking,

"Zoon-Muok!"

At first I thought I mispronounced the phrase or that there was no effect, but soon enough Sarah was back standing up ready to rebel against Davids insult, suprisingly looking eye to nose again with him like last year!

Apparently she had just finished telling David to shut up and looked over at me,

"Now what were you saying Petey? Zoon-Muok or som---

I felt the world around me shift once more underneath my feet.

Before I knew it she was back standing next to David again, but looking eye to eye with him, obviously finishing up her arguement.

"Now what were you saying Pe---

"NO NO STOP STOP DONT SAY THAT!" I screamed. I was sure everyone at the party heard me.

"Why? What did you say?" Sarah asked.

I half looked away to try and urge her to change the subject.

"It's nothing, just don't say it please. It's very important."

Confused she nodded slightly and said she wouldn't.

I was too curious to ask her when she got so tall. I was battling with myself about whether or not I should or not.

I gave in and thought that it would do no harm.

"Say Sarah, since when did you get as tall as your brother?"

She half-heartedly laughed and responded, "Petey, i've always been as tall as David. Ever since I can remember. Are you ok?"

I knew it...her memories changed along with her appearance.

"Yea, sorry, I guess I just never noticed."

She smiled at me and they both sat back down to play cards.

"Common Sarah, 1 more game of poker! Best 4 out of 7?" David begged.

"No David, you said 5 games and that's what we agreed on. I won fair and square."

I walked downstairs to get a hold of myself.

Everything 'seemed' the same, other then Sarah's slight growth spurt nothing looked out of place.

At least until my Aunt and her husband, Chris, came walking in the living room. They were both the same height now! Chris had always been a short guy, but never like that. Auntie Sone looked as if she grew 3 to 4 inches...just like Sarah.

Were all women taller now? And if so, do their average height average that of us guys?

It sure as hell seemed so. I needed to find out more though, but the only way to do that was to go back upstairs and ask Sarah herself. Asking anyone else in the family would result in them believing I was forming some form of mental problems.

I thought carefully for a few moments before making a decision.

...

I started heading upstairs...

Haha, oh my god. Everyone is commenting on this old story >_<. I'm really embarrassed by this only because I did almost no revision on it. I really need to look at this story once I'm done with Two Friends.

I'm glad you guys liked it though. Maybe I'll post my semi revised version of it later tonight!
